Pump. Fun on steroids? Pepex's new presale hits $513k in 24 hours

Pump.Fun on Steroids? PepeX’s New Presale Hits $513k in 24 Hours

Last Updated: May 2, 2025By

Pump.fun has had a questionable few months lately, with revenue down 95% and the news that only a tiny minority of traders make significant money on the platform. For a new ICO and rival launchpad, PepeX, this couldn’t be more convenient, as its radical, retail investor-empowering approach looks to kick pump.fun while it’s down.

PepeX promises to be the fair launch pad that pump.fun failed to be. And the smart money has clearly realized that should PepeX deliver on this promise, a seismic shift could happen in the cryptosphere.

PepeX’s ICO has already raised a jaw-dropping $513k after just 24 hours. And considering pump.fun never launched a token; PepeX could be on course to be the investment opportunity pump.fun didn’t offer and take 2025’s best crypto presale crown.

The end of the pump.fun monopoly? PepeX enters the ring

Pump.fun changed the meme coin game, no doubt about it. It has collected nearly $600 million in fees and regularly saw billions in volume each week. But, while everyone fixated on the few stories of lucky traders becoming millionaires overnight, the masses were sniped and left with nothing but red candles.

PepeX is improving on pump.fun’s inadequacies by implementing anti-sniping protections, transparent bubble maps, and a strict 5% founder allocation. I.e. what looks like everything required to keep fair launches fair. This means if the project flops, the founder’s locked liquidity is redistributed back to the community—a major win for everyday users.

The fairness angle is only half of it though, because PepeX also makes both launching and pumping a token 100 times easier than on pump.fun. Its AI-powered Moonshot Engine just needs a ticker input and some prompting to create viral memes for social media, agents for automated social marketing, and even a smart contract audit. Any friction around token creation and marketing is reduced to zero.

This all amounts to something that can be very rare in crypto: a level playing field. Now the big players can no longer stack the deck in their favor by simply outspending the little guy. In theory, this could mean only the strong ideas and communities win.

$513k raised already: PEPEX is in high demand

Looking at the numbers, the demand for a fairer pump.fun alternative seems to be exactly what the market wants.

PepeX’s new ICO  has printed strong numbers. Likely driven in part by traders eager to take advantage of the +300% gains available across the presale’s 90 days. Prices have started at just $0.02, increasing gradually every three days. But when you consider the bigger picture and 2025 as a whole, if PepeX delivers on its vision, early adopters could see a zero or two added to their gains. Although in a slight dip right now, meme coins topped a $100 billion market cap in 2024, alongside pump.fun’s $600 million in fees.

Now imagine if the next meme coin supercycle takes the market to $1 trillion, and consider the kind of demand that PepeX could enjoy when it’s at the center of all this. Since PepeX is positioning itself as the next big meme infrastructure play, Solana-like gains of +600x or more could well be within range.

Tokens are available to buy on the pepex.fun website.
