Pi Coin Price Prediction: New Pi Exchange Listing on OKX February 20

Last Updated: February 25, 2025By

Despite the ongoing controversy surrounding the legitimacy of the Pi Network, OKX—a top-tier cryptocurrency exchange—has doubled down on listing the token on February 20.

The skepticism around the project stems from the multiple delays in the implementation of a functional mainnet and real utility promised almost six years ago.

There have even been several instances where the team set launch dates, only to postpone them again.

The lack of transparency from the team has left the likes of Bybit and Bitget with no other choice than to dismiss the possibilities of listing the token on their respective exchanges.

However, with the latest news indicating February 20 as the new date for Pi Network mainnet launch—the same day for its OKX spot listing event—the token has seen almost 57% pump on the weekly chart to hit $61 in its IOU value.

How high can Pi token go if the eagerly-awaited mainnet eventually arrives on the scheduled date? Is it the best crypto to buy now?

What Happened To Pi Network?

Pi Network entered the crypto market in 2019, and the early attention it got was quite positive. The team highlighted plans to create a robust crypto mining ecosystem that will be powered by its native token—Pi.

Initially supporting smartphone-based mining, the Pi Network claims to have a global community with tens of millions of KYC-verified users, underscoring its significant influence. At the time of writing, this project has undergone several transition stages, including Testnet, Node Program, and Closed Mainnet.

However, despite years of development, Pi is still stuck in its enclosed phase, meaning it is yet to arrive on open mainnet. The delay outrightly prevented users from exploring their tokens on public exchanges, which is why most of them feel so disappointed.

The fact that the team kept postponing the scheduled launch dates for years further cast doubt on the project’s credibility, fueling allegations of pyramid-like structures.

Nonetheless, now that a new date—February 20—has been announced, Pi supporters are watching closely and hoping that another postponement is not on the horizon.

Pi is also billed to list on OKX’s spot trading market the same day. While other exchanges might follow suit, the possibility of Pi listing on Bybit has already been dismissed by the CEO of the exchange Ben Zhou.

Here is our price forecast for Pi coin:

Pi Price Prediction – Short-Term

While Pi’s future remains uncertain due to the growing skepticism among community members, there is still a possibility that it could see a major pump once it officially opens for spot trading on OKX on February 20.

The fact that the listing has been timed to coincide with the eagerly-awaited mainnet launch of the network could even spark some short-term surges in the token’s price. At best, Pi could experience a marginal increase of 200% to 500% within the first week of its open mainnet debut, potentially retesting its 2022 peak price of $330.

However, this price pump will be followed by a sharp correction since investors may want to step back and rotate initial profits to new tokens.

Pi Price Prediction – Long-Term

If Pi Network successfully launches its open mainnet as planned, the next challenge will be expanding its ecosystem to regain community interest and trust. The team needs to be more transparent this time and avoid constant procrastination that could raise more questions about the project’s legitimacy.

Assuming Pi Network continues rolling out more innovations within its ecosystem at a steady pace, it could remain relevant and attract sustained interest. Otherwise, it is unlikely that the token will continue to move up in value.

Meme Index (MEMEX) – Another Upcoming Listing To Watch Closely

While Pi has generated a bit of hype due to its highly-anticipated exchange debut, it is definitely not the only game in town. Another upcoming listing—Meme Index—has also been drawing heavy attention with its strategic meme coin index offerings and attractive staking perks.

There’s no doubt that there are plenty of opportunities in the meme coin space right now. However, investors seeking success must embrace diversification, and the best way to do that is by investing in a new project that’s providing the world’s first decentralized meme coin index.

Meme index 1

Meme Index is offering a more strategic way for investors to navigate the volatile meme coin market based on their risk-taking appetite. Unlike traditional indices that cover only bluechip meme coins, Meme Index is offering four indices that categorize all assets based on the degree of their volatility. At the top is Meme Titan, containing high-cap meme coins like Dogecoin and Pepe.

Next is the Moonshot Index, including high-flying coins that are close to reaching the $1 billion market cap threshold. At the lower end is the Midcap Index, featuring highly volatile meme coins, especially those within the $50 million to $250 million market cap category.

Finally, there is the Frenzy Index, hosting the highest-risk, highest-reward meme coins.

Most importantly, members of the community—MEMEX holders–will have a say over which meme coins are included in each of the aforementioned indices.

This innovative approach has been commended by several crypto news sites including Cointelegraph. The token is also being viewed by experts as the next 100x play due to the strong demand it has been seeing since going live on presale.

At press time, the Meme Index presale is approaching the $4 million mark, while the staking pool holds nearly 160 million tokens, demonstrating growing strength.
