Trusted Smart Chain’s Community Just Voted, 97.56% in Favor, to Expand Into New Markets

Last Updated: July 11, 2026By

Trusted Smart Chain’s community just exercised real governance power. This is a live demonstration of what decentralized infrastructure expansion actually looks like when the people running the network get to vote on how it grows.

Proposal TSC-P-3 has passed. Node operators voted 97.56% in favor, representing 12,858 nodes, against 2.44% opposed and a small number of abstentions, with 51.11% of active community nodes participating, comfortably clearing the vote’s quorum requirement. The proposal authorizes a new class of NANO NODE licenses and amends the DAO Charter to bring those license holders directly into the chain’s governance structure. In plain terms, it opens a meaningfully lower-cost path into operating infrastructure on the chain, alongside a real vote in how that infrastructure is run.

That’s the real story here. A community showed up, decisively, behind a shared direction. TSC-P-3 is the latest in a series of governance votes that have shaped Trusted Smart Chain over the years, not a one-off exercise. Most blockchain networks talk about decentralization as a design principle baked in at launch. Trusted Smart Chain has treated it as an ongoing operating decision for years now, one the network’s own participants get to make and remake as the chain grows, and this result is a clear data point for that claim: over half of active node operators showed up to vote, and the outcome wasn’t close. The scale of that turnout, and how lopsided the result was, says something about the combined will of a community this large moving in the same direction at once.

What that community is actually voting to expand is the underlying technology behind a community-driven effort to build open, decentralized infrastructure for financial applications. That work continues to grow through community participation, and this vote is part of it, a signal of a network’s participants choosing, together, to grow the base of people who can build and operate that infrastructure, with a clear focus on reaching new and more international markets.

Discussion on the proposal ran across seven mandatory days before voting opened, consistent with the deliberate governance process that has shaped prior votes on the chain. That consistency matters more than any single proposal. A lot of blockchain governance exists on paper without ever being exercised; token holders are technically entitled to vote, but few networks can point to a multi-year track record of live proposals that actually change the structure of who gets to run infrastructure, let alone a turnout north of 50% when they do. TSC-P-3 extends that track record.

The access question is where this matters most going forward. Full node licenses carry a cost and operational bar that limits who can realistically participate, often concentrating operators in a small number of markets with existing infrastructure expertise. NANO NODE licenses lower that bar directly, opening a path into network operation for participants previously underserved by full-node cost and operational requirements. That’s a direct lever for expanding both the geographic and demographic reach of who actually gets to build Trusted Smart Chain’s infrastructure, not just use it.

“The vote passed with a 97.56% approval. That is impressive when over half of all Node Operator accounts showed up to vote and participate in the decentralization process. It shows that the community really is eager to invite more operators anywhere in the world to help build the network. The more distributed each operator is, the stronger the network in a decentralized chain.” — — Brant Frank, CTO, Trusted Smart Chain

With the vote passed, NANO NODE licenses are now approved by the community and will move toward implementation. Further details on timing and availability will be announced as the rollout progresses.
