BREAKING: Centrifuge (CFG) Surges 20% as DeFi Token Hits $0.295
Centrifuge (CFG), a blockchain protocol focused on real-world asset tokenization, has surged 20.2% in the past 24 hours, reaching $0.295062 as of 3:58 AM UTC on April 20, 2026.
The rally pushed CFG’s market capitalization to $170.26 million, representing a $28.6 million increase over the past day. The token now ranks #193 among all cryptocurrencies by market cap.
Trading Volume Spikes to $65 Million
Trading activity has intensified significantly, with 24-hour volume reaching $65.19 million. The token hit an intraday high of $0.297817 before settling at current levels, up from a 24-hour low of $0.236154.
CFG has maintained strong momentum across multiple timeframes, posting a 56.4% gain over the past week and a remarkable 96.8% increase over the past 30 days.
Distance from All-Time High Narrows
Despite the recent surge, Centrifuge remains 25.7% below its all-time high of $0.400363, reached on August 24, 2025. However, the token has gained 342.5% from its all-time low of $0.067185, recorded on February 6, 2026.
The circulating supply currently stands at 577.04 million CFG tokens out of a total supply of 680 million, resulting in a fully diluted valuation of $200.64 million.
Real-World Asset Protocol Gains Traction
Centrifuge operates as a decentralized protocol that enables users to bring real-world assets onto the blockchain for DeFi applications. The platform allows businesses to tokenize assets such as invoices, mortgages, and royalties, making them accessible to decentralized finance markets.
The recent price action comes as the broader DeFi sector experiences renewed interest in real-world asset tokenization, with institutional investors increasingly exploring blockchain-based solutions for traditional finance instruments.
Market participants are closely monitoring whether CFG can sustain its upward trajectory and challenge its previous all-time high in the coming weeks.
