SyncFab Partners with Lockheed Martin for Blockchain Manufacturing

Last Updated: April 5, 2021By

Californian startup SyncFab announced that they have signed a deal with aerospace and defense contractor Lockheed Martin.

They have done for their manufacturing procurement and supply chain solutions that use blockchain.

Initially, the solution started as a matchmaking service between large manufacturers with small part suppliers. And then, the functionality has also expanded.

But, in January, the Swiss men, association of manufacturers in Mechanical Engineering announced a deal with SyncFab. The goal is to allow smaller Swiss manufacturers to subcontract for larger foreign ones or OEMs.

During that time, Lockheed Martin was announced as a partner.

The Swiss Armed Force will acquire a new fighter jet and air defense system. The four contenders for the jet are either American or European, but not Swiss. The winning bidder will need to spend between 60 and 100 percent of the investment in Swiss contracts.

An interesting fact is that Swiss men are still interested in using this opportunity to help SMEs bid for the contracts.

Earlier, SyncFab collaborated with the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) in the U.S. and they are more than 1,400 SME supplier members.
