R3 Sustainability and Chintai today announced a strategic partnership leveraging Chintai’s white-label technology to expedite the development of $795 million in infrastructure real-world asset (RWA) investments. The collaboration leverages Chintai’s Layer 1 blockchain infrastructure to fund and manage environmental projects across multiple sectors.

Technology-Driven Outcomes

The implementation of Chintai’s blockchain infrastructure brings transparency and efficiency to environmental project funding. The platform enables real-time tracking of both environmental and financial performance metrics, ensuring accountability while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Resource Management and Water Solutions

A centerpiece of the collaboration is a $300 million resource efficiency program focused on converting wastewater solids from a chemical manufacturing complex into a fertilizer product used throughout North America, addressing critical resource demands while optimizing industrial operations.

Additionally, the partnership will advance the development of a $180 million reverse osmosis desalination plant focused on serving a large industrial complex in Texas. The project begins with $20 million in early works and equipment orders, followed by $80 million in development phases, directly addressing water sustainability and availability challenges in the region.
