Omisego Is Working For The Formation Of Digitalized Economy

Last Updated: September 3, 2019By

With the belief that having access to financial services can create economic opportunities was built OmiseGo.

A mobile phone and good internet connection! That’s all it takes! We all can agree that we are a part of the world where anyone with a mobile phone and access to the internet is able to store, send and exchange any type of digital value.

Formed in the year 2015, OmiseGo Blockchain Lab was built under the sole idea of solving the real-world payment needs for growing businesses with the help of the power named blockchain.

A few years of research and testing led to the establishment of OmiseGO in the year 2017 with its headquarters in Bangkok. But the team members are from places all over the world like Australia, Japan, Ireland, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Russia and the U.S.

Their aim was to enable people to securely access financial services, invest, exchange and spend digital assets anytime, anywhere.

OmiseGo’s CEO Vansa mentioned that her focus at OmiseGO has always been centered around building the best team for them to execute their mission. She even adds that the road ahead is complex as they have been trying to solve both technological and business problems simultaneously.

Challenges can be of varied types and Vansa believes so too.

“Multi-faceted challenges require bringing together a diverse group of experienced, skilled and dynamic professionals committed to achieving the mission and vision of OmiseGO”.

Building teams, leading business strategies ensures the health of any organization as a whole. OmiseGo wishes to walk along those lines as well.

Currently they have been working on major plans for this year. Some of these plans include launching open-source go-to-market strategy for the network and eWallet Suite.

Other plans include prioritizing Asia-Pacific countries to ensure the team’s compliance and to be part of the conversation in policy creation.

Propelling towards helping in the creation of a responsible and sustainable product-driven technology company is what OmiseGo team wants to stand for. The team knows for a fact that they are still in the very early days of building the company that they have dreamt of but persistence and courage to keep learning and growing together will help them achieve their set goals.

Building a global platform for open financial services which includes their products like the OmiseGO Network and the OmiseGO eWallet Suite are one of their priorities.

OmiseGo even guides startups and non-profit organizations to form their own payment and eWallet strategy, provide technical consulting services and implementation support, and co-create new products.

Blockchain is the future of many major industries and OmiseGo believes that it is thus helping them create a future-ready infrastructure for payments.

OmiseGO has been a big believer in Ethereum and its family of technologies, previously contributing to the Ethereum Foundation’s DEVGRANTS initiative in 2015.

Their team has initiated collaborations with many exciting blockchain technologies including Hydrachain, Golem, Tendermint, Cosmos and Status.

The company looks forward to continuing to give back in whatever way it can, so that everyone can benefit from these and other developments.

Their team of 40 plus technology and financial professionals who are working to address financial access barriers are really looking forward to transitioning into an increasingly digitalized economy.
