NFT Drop – The Latest Update On Kami Fam
After a brief Opensea contract bug hampered Kamitribe’s launch on February 18, Kami Fam is set to relaunch, now even stronger!!!
So, following the initial mint of the Kamitribe collection on February 18, 2022, a slight error in the smart contract was created, causing the pre-launch minting of Kamitribe to be severely hampered.
The public couldn’t wait for the collection to be revealed. Unfortunately, the Kamitribe team had to put the minting on hold because of the problem while discussing how to handle this crucial scenario further.
However, the Kamitribe team handled the crisis admirably, and the project has since improved and strengthened. Female Kami’s were never considered for inclusion in the collection, but we know there are plenty of female fans who’d want to mint one.
At the same time, this was the moment when the Kamitribe community’s true strength was shown. It got a lot of support from the community, and many Kami members offered excellent advice to the team on managing the matter.
While more information on the roadmap revisions and when the subsequent minting will take place is still needed, here’s a quick rundown of what’s happened, what’s coming up, and what Kamitribe’s future holds.
The Opensea Bug and Smart Contract Mistake on Kamitribe Collection on February 18, 2022
This Opensea issue was insane; a hacker discovered a flaw in the Smart contract that allowed him to steal NFTs or purchase them at a lower price. This was essentially a Phishing assault that did not originate with Opensea but rather with hackers attempting to trick customers into signing contracts by clicking on links.
Nobody knows precisely how this works, but Bored Ape #9991 was one of the NFTs afflicted by the problem. The owner was devastated when it sold for 0.77 ETH, or around $1700.
Things were well during the initial Kamitribe NFT Pre-sale until 30 minutes to an hour later when strange patterns in the prices began to emerge. Many members were also able to mint three Kami NFTs for the price of one, which was 0.06999 ETH.

This was primarily due to a blunder committed by the team in the Smart Contact. At the same time, OpenSea was facing a crisis because a hacker had discovered a way to exploit NFTs and was stealing them for a lower price.
After then, many members were unable to mint any NFTs at all. As a result, the Kamitribe Team had to put the minting on hold while they discussed how to approach the matter.
This was one of the most pivotal times in an NFT project. The team initially came up with a good solution after more than 7 hours of in-team conversations and hearing what the community had to say, but the stakes were high because the blame was currently entirely on the team.
People could only mint three NFTs per wallet during the Pre-sale, and only those who were Whitelisted were able to mint.
People who had fought so hard to be into the Whitelist were now facing a significant setback. Initially, they considered relaunching the NFT project and allowing only one mint per wallet, which many people felt was unfair. This would be unjust to those Whitelisted members who were not given the opportunity to mint.
While the crew had already lost a significant amount of money, they were willing to accept the loss for the benefit of the community, even if it meant jeopardizing the MMORPG game.
As a result, the team reworked the changes and made a significant change to the project in their second announcement.
The KAMI Genesis Collection is now awaiting its unveiling on February 24. There will be a lot of fantastic stuff coming shortly. The collection would now be split into two sections: Kami Genesis and the Main Collection.
