NFT Artist Shares His Journey Into the Industry
Byo Pills was the first NFT project La.jpeg observed, and he immediately fell in love with the artwork. He was born and raised in the Philippines, but for the last six and a half years, he has been residing in New Zealand. La.jpeg holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and is currently employed by a small engineering consulting firm in New Zealand. Typically, he relaxes after work during the week by creating art and spends time with friends and family on the weekends.
He watched a great deal of anime as a child. His primary sources of inspiration and style were when he tried to draw and illustrate. Since la.jpeg never went to art school, he just made all of his art on the spot. But as he got older, he became interested in other things and became busy with school, work, gaming, and friends, so he stopped making art. This point was from when he was 13 years old until he was 24. Last year, around the same time, HE discovered NFTs through Axie Infinity. Since he was intrigued, he researched it and read extensively about it. He then found OpenSea.
He desired to own an NFT, so he began to create fan art to obtain WL, not to sell it, but to acquire a work of art. He continued in this area for a few months but realized he had found his passion again and wanted to do more. This area is when he began to consider starting his own 1/1 collection.
He gave his first unique Foundation card. He utilized Opensea as a platform for NFT-generating projects. However, it has numerous issues, so he disliked minting there. The only way to use SuperRare is by invitation only. He observes most artists selling their work on Foundation, concluding it is a good platform. Music. It has been with him during the ups and downs of his whole life. When he’s driving, cooking, producing art, and working, without it, life would be challenging because it’s something He can relate to and something that sometimes gives energy when HE needs it.

His favorite artists are Suanjaya Kencut, Andy Warhol, and Daniel Arsham. He favors instantly captivating items. Style, composition, and originality come together to create a breathtaking piece. He desires to create art so distinctive that the artist’s identity is immediately apparent. These are only a few of the sources of inspiration for me.
It’s hard to select just one, so he names his favorite four: @tylerxhobbs, @Grantyun2, @Jesperish, and @cafromthesky. They have a distinctive, consistent style. He has never witnessed anything similar. Because the artist’s style is so distinct, you can immediately identify them. He wants to be that kind of artist. He enjoys traveling and eating. Because apart from art, these things nourish his soul, broaden his perspective, energize me, and stimulate his creativity.
If you consider 3D mechanical models and 2D fabrication drawings art, he engages in these activities daily. He is also testing his photography abilities in a very devious manner. In the months he has been creating fan art, he has experimented with several techniques and topics, discovering each time what he prefers and dislikes. He liked making surreal NFT art. The piece that made him discover the style he is doing now is that la.jpeg made for a rare art contest. La.jpeg enjoys whales and believes they are lovely. Thus, he wants to reflect this in his artwork.
There have been a lot of changes, and it’s hard to say how. He has seen more NFT art this year than in his entire life. Therefore, a lot of factors impact how he produces art. His style has evolved over the past year, as evidenced by the fan art on Instagram. His new anti-natural collection will soon include additional items. A group of tales that extend beyond his genesis series. Art pieces that are designed to disrupt your normal perception of reality.
