Nexus’s initial seed funding of $2.2 million was secured in 2022, with Dragonfly leading the round, accompanied by Alliance, SV Angel, and Blockchain Builders Fund.

Scaling Nexus 1.0 to 1 Trillion Hertz

Nexus is laser-focused on leveraging zero-knowledge cryptography to enhance speed, security, and user experience for developers. This cryptographic approach enables the validation of statements or data without disclosing the underlying information.

The company has identified a burgeoning demand for proof generation from entities dedicated to scaling and securing decentralized infrastructures. Moreover, Nexus anticipates significant interest from industries such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and privacy-enhancing technologies.

“With the ascendancy of AI and the burgeoning need for privacy preservation, verifiable computing is becoming indispensable. Nexus’s avant-garde approach holds the promise of rendering these sophisticated cryptographic techniques both practical and scalable,” asserted Lightspeed founder Ravi Mhatre.

Nexus previously unveiled Nexus 1.0, its inaugural significant release of a zero-knowledge virtual machine. This system integrated an innovative cryptographic technique for proof aggregation and featured a modular architecture to optimize and parallelize verifiable computation across clusters of machines.
