Leading RWA and DeFi Layer 2 Lumia has announced the launch of its testnest and user quest program. The testnet enables builders and users to begin exploring elements including the faucet, bridge, explorer, and sequencer ahead of the mainnet launch.
Set to go live on [DATE], the testnet allows early adopters to familiarize themselves with Lumia’s Layer 2 technology. The launch will be accompanied by a quest program that allows users to earn points for completing simple tasks and learning about core Lumia features.
The testnet is expected to attract developers and users wishing to experiment with infrastructure components of the Lumia L2 ecosystem. Interest in the Lumia testnet and impending mainnet has been piqued by the recent node sale that saw more than 25,000 HyperNodes purchased by community members and investors alike.
Kal Ali, Core Contributor at Lumia Foundation, said: “We are excited to offer builders and users the opportunity to explore our cutting-edge Layer 2 infrastructure through this testnet campaign. It’s a critical step in bringing our vision for RWAs and DeFi to life.”
In line with Lumia’s vision to seamlessly connect Real World Assets (RWAs) with the power of blockchain technology, the testnet will engage developers from across the globe while rewarding users with social mining opportunities with the potential for future benefits. In addition to completing quests, users will have the opportunity to accumulate points by creating original content.
Developers have a first chance to examine Lumia’s Layer 2 infrastructure on testnet and discover its suitability for creating scalable RWAs and DeFi protocols. Optimized to deliver greater capital efficiency, Lumia is one of the first rollups built on Polygon to be designed specifically for RWAs. It supports tokenized assets including real estate, commodities, art, equities, and financial indexes.
As traditional assets become tokenized, liquidity solutions like Lumia’s Layer 2 infrastructure will play a pivotal role in connecting the tokenized assets to the broader DeFi ecosystem. The RWA market is expected to grow into a multi-trillion-dollar sector, and platforms like Lumia are well-positioned to lead the charge in this evolving space.
A host of partners and service providers have already been onboarded to the Lumia ecosystem while a grant program will soon be launched for builders. The release of the testnet brings Lumia’s L2 network closer to mainnet while providing opportunities for early adopters to explore its features and participate in its quest program.
