Turkey is quickly becoming the place to go for blockchain and cryptocurrency businesses. In the past 12 months, massive exchanges like Binance and OKEx have set up offices in the country, while Turkish entrepreneurs proceed to develop innovative projects utilizing blockchain.

Statistics in current surveys are also optimistic and reveal that the country has a high uptake and interest in cryptocurrencies, with Turkish people funding in the asset class more than any other part of Europe. A second survey noted 20% of the population employed or owned cryptocurrency.

The government has also dispensed an enthusiasm to welcome the advantages of digital currencies, with President Recep Erdogan declaring the development of a digital lira. In contrast, Uğur İbrahim Altay, Mayor of Konya, a Turkish city with a population of 2.4 million people, has declared the expansion of a coin correctly to be utilized by residents.
