Best NFT Resources: The Best Blogs, Podcasts, Spaces To Thrive In 2023

Last Updated: February 23, 2023By

Let’s be honest: breaking into the NFT space can be hard. Making the jump from Web2 to Web3 can be seriously disorienting; First, there’s wrapping your head around NFTs as technology and working through the “Why can’t I just screenshot it?” phase. And if you’re at that point, don’t be ashamed. Even seasoned NFT fans can find it hard to keep up with how the landscape is always changing and need concrete NFT resources to stay updated. Blockchain is still a very new technology, and a lot of the talk in the Web3 world says that anyone working with it is “still early.” This is absolutely true.

Don’t worry if you don’t know what to do. We’ve got you covered. Here is a list of some of the best NFT resources and tools for learning NFT, from us and other people in the community.

How to start with NFTs

The first steps of learning about Web3 and NFTs are always the hardest, just like the first steps of learning a new language. They’re also some of the most satisfying things to do. If you’ve heard of non-fungible things (NFTs) but don’t really understand what they are, check out NFTs Explained: A Must-Read Guide to All Things Non-Fungible. There, we cover everything from NFTs and cryptocurrency to how to buy them and the best ways to avoid scams and fraud in the space.

Next, you should give yourself some background. Blockchain and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have a very interesting history. To help you get started, we made a timeline of the beginnings and history of NFTs. And finally, no one who is interested in NFTs can go on without a good understanding of blockchain, the technology that makes Web3 work.

Once you know the basics, you can move on to podcasts, Twitter Spaces, YouTube, Discord, and other platforms. Let’s explore.

Podcasts and Twitter Spaces

The nft now podcast

With more than 70 episodes in season one, the nft now podcast (hosted by co-founders Matt Medved, Alejandro Navia, and Sam Hysell) has had dozens of influential artists, builders, and stars on to talk about the ups and downs of the NFT ecosystem and the new creative economy. In our efforts to help the people who make culture, we’ve been lucky enough to shine a light on the minds and hearts at the forefront of Web3 innovation. It’s been a wild ride, from finding historically important projects from the past to laying out plans for the future and getting serious alpha from some of the most well-known names in the NFT space.

Keep an eye out in the coming months for the start of season two. In the meantime, you can look back on the inspiring panels from 2022’s The Gateway: A Web3 Metropolis in our Live From the Gateway series.

Rug Radio

Farokh is a Web3 entrepreneur and the founder of Rug Radio, which calls itself a decentralised Web3 media platform. He is one of the most well-known collectors in the NFT space. Farokh made a name for himself as a social media expert before he got into NFTs. During the 2021 NFT boom, he became a well-known Web3 voice. Rug Radio’s GM Web3 is a daily show where experienced collectors and well-known community members talk about the Web3 ecosystem, have a laugh, and spread the GM vibes of the NFT space. You can watch it weekdays at 10:30 a.m. ET.

The Morning Show on NFT

The NFT Morning Show, which airs Monday through Friday at 9:00 a.m. ET, is another great Twitter Space to check out every day. The NFT Morning Show is run by NFT Nick, Pio Vincenzo, and Sophisticated Art Speculator. Instead of interviews, the show focuses more on NFT trade talk and is a must-listen for anyone who wants to know how the market is moving.

Ryan Carson’s daily dose

Ryan Carson is well-known on Web3 because he was the COO of the Moonbirds NFT project and the founder of the 1.21 Gigawatts Fund. He is also the host of Daily Dose. Listeners can tune in Monday through Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 ET to get POAPs and hear insightful commentary on the NFT space from a rotating group of some of the most influential people in the ecosystem.

Not Financial Advice

Not Financial Advice, where we talk about the best trades of the week, the biggest stories and topics in the NFT space, and how to stay safe in Web3. Follow us, and you’ll always know what’s going on.

XYZ News

People who want to learn more about NFTs and have fun while doing so should check out XYZ News. There are several Twitter Spaces on the platform, such as the IYKYK Show, which is hosted by NFTGirl and Belle NFTs, who are both funny and knowledgable. The pair of welcoming voices encourage participation and learning in the NFT space to everyone (especially those from underrepresented communities), regardless of their level of familiarity with the blockchain.

Burn After Minting

Betty, the founder and CEO of the Deadfellaz NFT project, has made a brand new Twitter Space called Burn After Minting. People can listen to Betty talk with Web3 “friends and legends” every Wednesday at 3 p.m. PST.

YouTube

Zenaca’s ZenAcademy

Zeneca has been a thought leader in NFT for a long time, and both new and experienced traders can learn a lot from him. Zeneca started ZenAcademy in 2021. It’s a great Twitter handle and YouTube channel for anyone, regardless of how much they know about NFT, to learn about Web3. Check out his handy resources page for a full list of what he has to offer. Zeneca also runs a few weekly Twitter spaces, such as This Week In NFTs and Thankful Thursdays, through his accounts and those of people who follow him. Zeneca’s most recent project is ZenDaily, a daily Twitter space that focuses on Web3, NFTs, crypto, and blockchain tech but also covers content creation, AI developments, and more.

The Proof Daily NFT Countdown

The Proof Collective is run by NFTstatistics.eth, which is also known as Punk 9059 on Twitter. Even if you don’t know much about the NFT space, this daily rundown is a great way to jump right into the action because it gives both a big picture and a lot of specifics about what’s going on in Web3.

Each video has a similar structure. It starts with a quick market overview that looks at ETH volumes, NFT marketplace rankings, and floor prices. Then, it quickly goes over the latest NFT projects and crypto tokens that you should be aware of and why. Don’t sleep on it.

Tools for keeping track of traders and collectors

The NFT space moves fast. Like, so fast it’s annoying. If you miss an NFT drop, you might miss out on the chance to own some amazing art or a token that could go up in value a lot, and we mean a lot. You might even miss out on both. FOMO isn’t just an acronym; it’s a real thing that can have a big effect on people’s mental health if they try to keep up with everything on Web3. On top of that, NFTs can feel overwhelming because there are so many projects, collectors, and data to sort through.

There are some great tools that make it easy to keep track of well-known NFT collectors, trades, and even individual NFT projects and the types of digital tokens they use. By using these tools, you can be a better NFT collector and trader and take better care of your mental health by making better use of your Web3 time.

If you want to learn more about NFT rarity, which is what makes an NFT stand out from the rest and make it more valuable, check out Rarity Sniper, rarity.tools, and icy.tools as a starting point. And if you want to know when projects are minting or when NFT whales (powerful collectors) buy into a project (a sign that it will rise), you can use Ninja Alerts, a service that notifies you when top traders buy, mint, or sells an NFT. Ninja Alerts allows users to identify specific contracts or wallet addresses and to keep close tabs on them. Ninja  Listen to what they had to say to find out what they were talking about.

Discord

If you’ve never heard of Discord before, it’s a super useful text, voice, and video app often used like a forum/chat room by NFT projects to communicate with their communities (join ours here!). Some Discords are only for people who own the NFTs for a certain project, like Proof Collective. But most of them are open to everyone, which is something that people who are just starting to learn about crypto and NFTs should use to their advantage.

One of the best Discords out there comes from an NFT community whose primary goal is to educate people in all things Web3 in a welcoming, inclusive, and friendly way: BFF. BFF’s Discord has several channels where you can ask questions about all things Web3, like NFTs, wallets, DAOs, and investing, with the goal of giving women and non-binary people the tools that the blockchain can offer.

Find an artist or NFT project that you like and join their Discord server. This is one of the best and most natural ways to learn about space. Active NFT communities are always welcoming new people, so no one will judge you if you hang out in Discord and ask questions out of curiosity. This also serves as a great way to judge the vibe of a particular community and its associated project, as these Discord servers will always have representatives from the project who sit in administrative server roles. If they (or the community as a whole) aren’t friendly, open, helpful, and honest, that’s probably a red flag, and you should move on.

Still hungry for more? In July 2022, we made a list of the top 100 NFT community members who were most important to the future of Web3. The NFT100 is a showcase of the diverse talents in the space. Our editorial team and the community chose it, and it is not ranked. It is based on a mix of data points and editorial judgement. If you want to learn more about anyone in the space, start with this list. It has the most innovative builders, innovators, tastemakers, and leaders the NFT ecosystem has to offer. We also made a list of ten artists and thirteen collectors to watch in 2023.

Remember that NFTs aren’t just art; art is just one way that NFT technology can be used. NFTs have the potential to change almost every industry. Even the U.S. Air Force recently put $30 million into a strategic initiative to develop its blockchain capabilities. Check out our coverage of the five unique ways NFTs will be used in 2023.
