Last Updated: February 12, 2018By

After the Indian Government took steps to introduce the blockchain technology to provide the students of IITs with digital certificates, there is hope that we can see the blockchain being utilized by more organizations. A center was opened in Kochin, Kerala by the InQ which is an Australian based innovation center. The aim of InQ is to offer an eco-system which involves space to co-exist for the early stage companies and global investors and incubators for startups. InQ has lately signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Indian Blockchain Council New Delhi in order to start an Indian Blockchain Council (IBC) Acadamy in Kerala.

IBC is believed to be the head of all innovative ideas related to blockchain in Indian and Kerala is a state in India with a 100% literacy rate. We can hope that starting such an innovative program here can yield the best outcome. This initiative was taken by the InQ to ensure that the emerging latest technologies are adopted in the state. They hope to provide a boost in the blockchain related activities and learning within the state and whole India.

By collaboration with the Indian Blockchain Council, InQ plans to run an InQ Indian Council Academy by setting up blockchain based Laboratories, creating PoCs, having training programs and much more. Besides adding value, this will slowly result in business conversions and selling of blockchain interventions as the outcome. Certificate programs ranging from 1-3 days to long duration ones will be offered with offline, online and hybrid training typed for the enrolled ones to opt from.

The program in Kerala is not InQ’s first one. It has already started incubation centers in cities like Bengaluru, Sydney, and Dubai. Their ultimate aim is to harness an international level collaboration in a wide range of sectors like biotech & clean energy, agritech, creative technology, tourism, healthcare and much more.
