Best Crypto To Buy Now After Dovish CPI Print

Last Updated: April 11, 2025By

The global trade war continues to intensify, with Donald Trump now imposing 145% tariffs on all Chinese imports. After Wednesday’s rally, major US equity indices are deep in the red on Thursday.

Bitcoin and large-cap altcoins also faced to flip key resistance levels and have partially retraced their Wednesday’s green candles.

Investors found some much-needed relief in March’s inflation data, which came in cooler than anticipated. The headline Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 2.4% year-over-year, slightly below the consensus estimate of 2.5%.

Core CPI, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, also undershot expectations — climbing 2.8% annually compared to the forecasted 3.0%.

While equity and crypto markets showed a muted reaction to the dovish CPI print, two consecutive months of declining inflation lend further credence to the view that the next bull cycle may be fast approaching.

What The Dovish CPI Data Means For Crypto Investments?

Prominent macroeconomists — including GMI founder Raoul Pal and its Head of Macro Research Julian Bittel — suggest that the next crypto bull run is just days away.

They cite the Global M2 money supply as the reason for their optimism, which has a strong correlation to Bitcoin’s price trajectory, though with a 12-week lag.

The market simply needs the next bullish narrative to rally on, and analysts believe that the Federal Reserve’s dovish pivot could be it. Aggressive rate cuts, in addition to an end to its Quantitative Tightening, could result in a massive influx of capital into risk assets.

In fact, there is a growing consensus that the Trump administration is also forcing the Fed’s hands with its trade war. The President has publicly called on multiple occasions for Fed Chair Jerome Powell to cut interest rates.

Powell has rejected Trump’s demands, citing the sticky inflation in the US economy. However, a second-straight decline in the headline and core CPI inflation paves the way for a dovish pivot, especially if recession concerns mount.

March’s CPI data gives further credence to alternative inflation indexes like Truflation, which suggests that the inflation in the US economy is as low as 1.34%.

It is not without any reason that the CME FedWatch is now pricing in 4 rate cuts in 2025, after projecting just one cut earlier.

Best Crypto To Buy Now

It is likely finally time for sidelined investors to buy Bitcoin.

While BTC failed to breach key resistance levels in the Wednesday rally, on-chain data from Santiment reveals that the number of whales and sharks continues to climb.

There is a growing consensus that the Bitcoin price will surpass $150k in 2025, with a new all-time high possible in the second quarter itself.

Experts are anticipating a spike in BTC call options. A new meme coin, BTC Bull, which promises “massive Bitcoin airdrops” to all its token holders at $150k, is also in high demand. Prominent analysts are viewing it as the next 100x crypto.

XRP is another large-cap asset that is a consensus pick among experts for the best cryptos to buy now.

Unlike most altcoins, it is trading extremely close to its key resistance level. A flip of the $2.04 resistance would pave the way for $2.38 in the short term and a new all-time high this year in the mid term. British multinational bank Standard Chartered is projecting $12.50 in 2028.

Undervalued Solana meme coins are also in high demand. For instance, Fartcoin and Popcat are seeing heavy bidding and are showing explosive relative strength.

Solaxy (SOLX) is another asset that experts view as undervalued. After all, it is the first prominent Solana Layer-2 coin, and the top projects in the Ethereum and Bitcoin ecosystems tend to have multibillion-dollar valuations.

SOLX has already raised over $29 million in short order, a sign of high upside potential. Many are eyeing up to 10x returns from it.
