Samsung Adds 13 Crypto D-apps To Its Blockchain Keystore

Last Updated: August 6, 2019By

Samsung is innovating its blockchain-based venture by adding over a dozen new applications to its Blockchain Keystore market for online apps.

As per reports, Samsung’s online d-app store, Blockchain Keystore, was launched recently in March this year and hasalreadygrown from its originalfour applications to now a total of seventeen. The initial fourd-apps included a game, a social media app,a password walletand a billing app. The new d-apps now include acombination of variedproducts from social media app called “Anpan”to entertainment app The Hunters.

Samsung is developing rapidly in space. It is one of the first big-name companies to create and operate crypto-centric products with the launch of the Galaxy S10 earlierthis year.

“Although other companies have not done so yet, we have already made a blockchain wallet and released it,” Samsung said.

The tech giant is improvising onits wallet’s features to prepare for the soon emerging market competition. Currently, Samsung’s wallet system only enables storage of Ethereum-based ‘ERC-20’tokens and protocols.

The number one competitor for Samsungis Apple who has yet to release a walletbut might launch one soon enough. Apple had launcheda ‘CryptoKit’ for iOS 13in June 2019,hinting very clearly thatadoption may not be too long for the Cupertino giantitself.

Earlier last month, LG released trademark for“ThinQ Wallet,” which is a product that market researchers believe to be the foundation for a crypto ecosystem and wallet. The trademark implies that the ThinQ Wallet will allow for settlements, transaction, and e-money services.

China-basedHuawei, another one of Samsung’s competitors, has not yet seemingly developed a cryptographic wallet. Huawei explained that they “have no plans to put a cryptocurrency wallet on its smartphone because the Chinese government has not authorized it.” Samsung’s efforts are, to be very honest, off to a glacial start. There are so for only 30 reviews on “Samsung blockchain wallet” on the Galaxy Store whereas other crypto wallets on the Google Play Store have around thousands.
